January 6th 2012

ive been a bit naughty today with my food. slap my hand oops. i started really well. i had a couple of slices of 50/50 toast with very little butter. when i got home from dropping R off at school i had some cracker bread with a little margarine (erm i had about 12 cracker bread oops) and thats where it started going downhill. after that i had a small twix with tea at my moms house. im always bad at my moms house i should really start carrying healthy snacks in my bag with me.
well we went shopping and i got absolutely loads of healthy foods and snacks which made me feel better about where i was going with the diet and weight loss. and then i popped to my moms to get my laptop. and she offered me some cake. and i ended up eating 2 slices of cake :( which made me feel crappy about what i was doing.
so as soon as i put R to bed i got my fat arse on my bike and did 35 minutes and burned 437 calories. i felt so much better about myself after that.
for dinner i decided on egg and chips but cooking the chips in the oven so they wouldnt be loaded with fat. that didnt turn out very well and the whole thing turned our very greasy. not the best for a "healthy" dinner. although i had a couple of oranges when i was waiting for the chips to cook so that has to count for something.........right?
well although dinner turned out to be a big fat bust (pun intended) i feel better about the dinners and snacks i can make myself with the new and more expensive shopping. i think the whole family can benefit from it now :)

on another note. has anybody noticed how expensive eating healthy is? fruit and veg are very costly and anything else to make nice healthy meals costs so much. i dont think its very fair really. with all the pressure to be healthy and thin they dont make it very easy if your on a budget do they?
